Latest Updates from Our Project:

New sketches!
7 months ago – Mon, Apr 29, 2024 at 01:36:21 PM

Greetings backers!

I hope you are enjoying the content of the latest playtest.

Just today I finished the harvesting rules. With these rules you will be able to harvest plants and components from slained creatures to make items such as elixirs, catalysts and even use them as ingredients for delicious dishes!

The progress of the book continues at a good pace, all the content related to rules and mechanics is almost finished and only the lore part remains to be completed.

But In today's update what I really wanted to show you are a few sketches of some of the creatures that you will find in the bestiary chapter.

A terrible plant that lures the unwary by creating humanoid forms
The alchemical golem that guards the ancient undergrounds of Apathya
The deadly blight dragon that spreads corruption with its dreadful breath.

Be extremely careful when dealing with these creatures... and think of the components you could harvest from them.

See you in the next update!

New Playtest!
8 months ago – Thu, Mar 28, 2024 at 09:53:58 AM

Hey backers!

As I told you in the previous update, you should have received a few minutes ago the new playtest document that includes the new ancestries and heritages for Pathfinder 2e.
You should have the PDF on the "Digital Downloads" section of your BackerKit account.

Only backers who have ordered the Pathfinder 2e book will have received this playtest. The 5e playtests will be sent in the future.

Finally, I wanted to show you how the custom character sheet for D&D 5e turned out. I hope you like it!

See you in the next update!

February-March update
8 months ago – Mon, Mar 18, 2024 at 04:03:58 AM

Greetings backers!

I've been waiting a little bit to publish this update so I could tell you more information about the development of the book. For several reasons, the editing of the content has been delayed a bit so probably the next playtest will not have gone through line copy before sending it (in case you find typos). Keep in mind that all this playtest are not in final version.

I have already finished the chapter about faiths that includes the titans and the Silent Voice (I hope you like this mysterious part of Nexaria). This chapter is finished for both PF 2e and 5e.
Another finished part is about the weather and the weather events that can occur in the different regions, some normal and some supernatural. The characters will have to be careful and take shelter from the bloodrain or the moonshard storm among others.
The crafting part is also advanced, but I think I have to revise it again with some new ideas that have occurred to me.

In general, all the content is done first in PF 2e and then converted to 5e. That's why the playtest for PF 2e are finished earlier.

In the next playtest I also want to include the new ancestry that we came up with during the development of the book after the KS finished: the Wulvers. This playtest will also be released for both systems. Also, I have already received the final illustration of the Wulvers, I hope you like it! I love it!

And as I told you in the previous update, I already have the illustrations of the missing ancestries and heritages.

To finish the part about the development of the book, I wanted to show you a couple of sketches of the warped weapons that you could see in the playtest already published. The illustrator has perfectly captured the style and essence I wanted.

Deathpiercer (left) and Sorrowblaze (right)

Finally, I wanted to let you know that some people may have problems with Apple email addresses. Because of the way it works, the Backerkit and Kickstarter links may not reach you. If that's the case, send me a message here if you can't access BackerKit.

And that's all for now. I will write a short update to inform you once I send the new playtest .

As always, thank you very much for your support!

January Update
10 months ago – Wed, Jan 31, 2024 at 11:53:23 AM

Hello everyone!

As every month, I'm going to share with you the progress of the project. I wanted to apologize in advance because this month there has not been as much progress as I would have liked, but it has been a rough start of the year. The Christmas holydays helped us rest a bit, but unfortunately at the beginning of the year I had a family emergency and then I got COVID for 12 days. As you can see it has been quite complicated.

Even so there has been progress in the different branches of the project, but not enough to offer you a new playtest. The content that is finished and already in edition is the part about magic and resurrection, the Crimson Blight, The Eye of Blight and the new Nether Rifts (I will tell you about them later).

I've also continued to receive several illustrations, mostly about the new ancestries and heritages. Here you can see some of them, although there are still a few more to finish.

Hopefully by next month I will be able to show you all about the Wulvers (the ancestry I decided to add to the book), the Blight Acolyte and the Silent Voice. I hope to have more ancestries finished as well.

Line and base color of the Wulvers' illustration

And now I'm going to tell you about the Nether Rifts and the amazing illustration that will go with it in the book. When The Eye of Blight appears in the sky staining Nexaria with its crimson light, several terrible phenomena occur. One of them is the appearance of rifts that connect with the Nethermourn.

The place where a rift appears begins to become corrupted by the influence of the Nethermourn, twisting the terrain, plants, and nearby creatures making them resemble those that live in that plane. These rifts are extremely dangerous and the main mission of some factions is to find them and seal them as soon as possible.

Here is a preliminary version of a Nether Rift for Pathfinder 2:

As you can see, the Nether Rifts are so dangerous that even sealing them puts those who try to do so at risk.

I hope you liked this preview of the next content you will receive. See you in the next update!

Last update of the year
11 months ago – Fri, Dec 22, 2023 at 05:24:12 AM

Hello everyone!

I wanted to post one last update before the end of the year.

You should have a new playtest PDF with single pages instead of spreads in your BackerKit account. This way it will be easier for you to read it on tablets (Thanks Andrew for the suggestion).

On the other hand, the content of the book is still progressing. The first two chapters are already finished.

The first one is an introduction to Nexaria and the contents of the book. It includes a calendar of the setting, the cosmology as well as things to keep in mind for running adventures in the world.

The second one is about the history of Nexaria, from its creation to the present day. Also, yesterday I received the last illustration of this chapter and I can guarantee you that it is amazing.

The third chapter is about the people of Nexaria and its quite advanced. The ailurens are already finished (as you can see in the playtest), the wulvers and primogens are very advanced and the rest of the lineages are almost finished.

The chapter called "Adventuring in Nexaria" includes the Inquisitor (finished), the Crimson Acolyte (almost finished) and the rest of the player options that are very advanced.

Of the rest of the chapters there are also advances as part of the Gazetteer, factions, items, creatures and others, but it would be too many to list.

I have also received most of the illustrations of the book that I am looking forward to show you.

To finish off, I wanted to thank you again for helping me to make this project a reality this year. Next year will be a great one for Nexaria.

Have a great Christmas and happy new year.

Best,

Luis
